Important information

Preparing for your procedure

Preparing your stomach or bowel for an endoscopy procedure means emptying or ‘cleansing’ them. This practice provides the endoscopist a better view of the inside of your digestive tract.

Our medical team will advise you on what you should eat and drink and what medications or bowel prep solutions you should take to prepare for your procedure.

Post-procedure care

After your procedure, you will be placed in a recovery room, where you can recover from the sedation effects for 1-2 hours. Once you have recovered, you can return home accompanied by a family member or caregiver who is your nominated driver. Full recovery typically takes 12–24 hours. During this time, you must not drive, operate machinery, or make important legal decisions.

Ways to pay for your treatment

We want you to be able to focus on getting well as quickly as possible, so we offer a variety of payment methods and will always be upfront about costs. Here, you can learn more about how to pay for our services.

Self-pay

If you would like to pay for your own treatment, or ‘self-pay’, you will be given full clarity of the costs and self-pay options upfront. People choose to self-pay to avoid long waiting lists and to access treatments that may not be available in the public health system. We offer the highest level of care at competitive rates.

Medical insurance

If medical insurance is an option for you, our admissions team will work closely with you to ensure you have all the information you need to communicate with your insurer. This helps to make sure your treatment with us goes as smoothly as possible.
